Window guards are used to provide security for those inside the structure they are attached to. Calla lilies are rife with meanings including sympathy, love, innocence, rebirth, and revolution. They are originally from South Africa, but they have been depicted by artists globally. Here the calla lilies flow with the steel and represent peace. The last singular calla lily I made went with my Tio Ben. Since then the flower continues to appear to me and reminds me of the delicacy of life.
